FAQ: Question on chainsaw course payment methods

Question: Is payment due the day of the course by cash only and/or cheque? Is visa an option and if so how/who do they send the card info to?

Answer: Payment has to be in cash at the start of the class. We will only accept a cheque from a commercial account. As a volunteer run organisation we are not financially structured to accept other types of payments such as Visa or Mastercard.

Answers to Questions

Q: My problem is I bought a new saw last week and am not sure which one to bring??

  • A: Bring both. It adds to the education, as the instructor will point out pros and cons of each and how to sharpen them both if they are different etc.
Q: Shall we bring anything for the course?
  • Bring your saw and any sharpening equipment you may have and your personal protection equipment.

Q: Will this course certify me as a cutter or chainsaw operator.

  • No this course which is available to all is only the classroom part that covers the safety and maintenance portion of the full training program. To meet the full certification you need to take a 2 or 3 day course which includes a classroom component as well as a field component where you will be cutting trees as part of the training. This course is only the classroom component.
